Welcome, Investigator. The Federal Cold Case Division archives contain 15 unsolved homicide investigations structured across three chronological volumes:
Typewritten logs, typewriter font quirks, physical carbon receipts, 35mm film, and Polaroid crime scenes. Solved on a physical cork pinboard.
Floppy disk data backups, VHS surveillance footage, alphanumeric pager dispatches, and 14.4k modem handshakes. Solved via a CRT Windows 95 command database.
Starlink mesh telemetry, GPS EXIF coordinates, smartwatch barometric altimeters, and drone optical feeds. Solved via a Biometric HUD scanner.
Every case is designed with strict fair-play detective logic. The perpetrator cannot hide from forensic science if you cross-reference meticulously:

Each era features its own bespoke deduction interface requiring you to isolate the Culprit, the Key Clue, and the Motive:
Click one card from each column (Suspect + Clue + Motive). An authentic red yarn string will pin them together. Click "STAMP ARREST WARRANT" to execute your accusation.
Use the dropdown menus, or type a command directly into the terminal's command line: ARREST [suspect] [clue] [motive] (reference each by its on-screen number, e.g. ARREST S1 C2 M3), or HELP for a full reference list. Then click "EXECUTE DISPATCH CROSS-CHECK" to broadcast the warrant.
Select the prime suspect, vector trace, and motive in the telemetry HUD. Press and HOLD the digital fingerprint scanner for 1.5 seconds to digitally certify the indictment.
